What is Life Coaching?
The life coaching conversation is designed as a method for creative problem solving, to shed light on your blind spots, provide new perspectives, identify your innermost values, and to take action on moving toward the person you wish to become.
By working with a professional life coach, the goal is for you, the client, to walk away from a life coaching engagement lighter, more focused, confident and with a new set of tools for moving forward.
Life coaching is what we call it inside the industry, whether others call it confidence coaching, mindset coaching or leadership coaching – the skill set is the same.
How does it work?
We will speak once per week for about an hour, and there will be recommended “homework” consisting of exercises, books, or websites to help with specific areas that you are stuck.
There is unlimited email support between sessions.
Can I skip a week?
In coaching, the client sets the agenda. While I recommend sticking to a weekly schedule, you decide when is best for the next session.
Can I reschedule a session?
Of course! My online booking system and life coaching website is simple and easy to use – reschedule at your convenience
Does Life Coaching by phone really work?
If you do not choose to do Virtual, working with a life coach by phone is much more effective than video and for some clients even better than face-to-face.
When talking about sensitive issues where you may feel vulnerable, not being seen helps us to get to the heart of the issue faster and with less discomfort.
IS COACHING THE SAME AS COUNSELING?
Great question- here is the difference!
Counseling looks backwards- it's focused on the past and on healing traumas to get you to an emotionally healthy state.
Coaching, however, is future focused & action oriented. We look forward towards future possibilities and create and implement next steps.
